2020 Schedule and AOY

Like all other tournament trails, our Adirondack KBF 2020 season has experienced some upheaval due to the C-19 pandemic that has frozen the nation. Our first three events were canceled or postponed, but we managed to make due in the meantime with some great online events. But as things start opening back up, so will we with a new and revamped schedule! Our new live schedule will include five regular season "Live" events, culminating in our Club Classic at the end of the season. We have made some changes to help facilitate social distancing, choosing events on larger lakes with more launches to help our anglers spread out. At this time, all "Live" events will have virtual check-ins, meetings, and awards; however, that may change if things open up enough to allow in person awards.

So without further ado, here is the new Live Event schedule:

June 6th - Lake Champlain

June 27th - Tupper Lake/ Raquette River

July 18th - Great Sacandaga Lake (Random Draw Team Event)

August 8th - Twin Rivers (Mohawk and Hudson)

August 22nd/23rd - KBF Trail: Lake George (KBF Competitor Membership Required)

September 19th&20th - Club Classic

Details for each event will be posted on their individual TourneyX pages. All regular season events will remain a $35 entry fee and be 5 fish limit events (with the exception of the KBF Trail Lake George event which has an entry fee of $100/day). The Club Classic will be a two day event, scoring your 5 longest bass from each day for a total of 10 fish and have the standard Classic Entry fee of $70. As always, all events will follow the standard KBF rules except where noted.

You spoke and we listened in regards to our Angler of the Year. We know that not everyone has time to fish every day or even every weekend, and some anglers have their go-to honey holes where they seem to always catch big bass. As a result, we are revamping our AOY program this year to only include the events on our Live schedule. Our online and open events will not count toward your AOY score.

Last year Bryan Nunziato shot out of the gate with a historic performance at Saratoga Lake racking up 99 inches. He followed that up with four more great performances totaling 464-inches to take home the coveted title (and kayak) of the Angler of the Year. With the shortened schedule this year, we've decided to give our anglers more opportunities to rack up the necessary inches needed to win the title. Your three largest scores from the five regular season will be combined with your two day total from the Club Classic to make up a 25 fish limit and determine who will be the 2020 Adirondack KBF Angler of the Year. Anglers who fish the Lake George event have the option of fishing either day or both days (they are technically separate single day events). Anglers that fish both will have the better score of the two days applied to their AOY. You cannot use both days of Lake George as two of your regular season scores.

We look forward to having all of you out on the water with us this season; and, pandemic providing, seeing each of your faces again as we make 2020 our best season yet.
